With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Metzger of Pana, Illinois, who passed away on July 12, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Mizeur and Norma Mizeur (Waddington); her husband Wilbur L. Metzger of Patrick's Catholic Church; and her brothers, Roger "Joe" Mizeur and O. Ralph "Fritz" Mizeur.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Gerse (David) of Overland Park, KS and Kent Metzger (Teresa) of Gays, IL; her grandchildren, Morgan Ketchum (Chase), Colin Gerse (Shayna), Lauren Norris (Brock) and Ross Metzger (Joelle); her great grandchildren, Owen Ketchum, Carter Ketchum and Samuel Norris; and her sisters-in-law, Carmen Mizeur of Pana, IL and Jane Mizeur of Princeton, IN..
Memorials in Doris' honor may be made to the Sacred Heart School and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
