He is survived by: his foster son Mark Alwerdt of North Carolina; and his siblings, Carolyn Gruen-Millsap (Stan), Judy Peitzmann (Bill) and Leo "Butch" Kolesar (Marsha). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
