He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert C. Ranquist, Sr. and Niceta S. Ranquist; and his siblings, Katherine Desmet, William Ranquist and Mary Niceta Ranquist.

He is survived by: his children, Bob III of Chicago, Illinois, John of Lakewood, Colorado and Holly Santoro (Joe) of Cleveland, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Charles Ranquist, Alec Ranquist, Grace Santoro and Maxwell Santoro; his wife Maureen Ranquist; and his brother Edward Ranquist (Nancy).

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Saint Ignatius College Prep.
