With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Freeland of Palos Park, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Coyne Rogers and Hilda Rogers (Buckler); and her siblings, Lucille Sciackitano, Viola Branyik, Frank Rogers and Art Rogers.

She is survived by: her children, Tom Freeland, Julia Slevin (Richard), Jennifer Connor (Vince), Martin Freeland (Gina Marie) and Jason Freeland (Michelle). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a hospice program of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

“From all of us at the Carr family to the Freeland family we wish to send our condolences on the loss of your Mother "Vergene". Vergene was a wonderful person with a great smile and a contagious laugh! One of the stories I would like to tell is that she came to our Mother's wake and walked up to me and called me Donnie (I was 63)!!! LOL The other was your moving day to the "other" side of South Holland!! Ran out of room, will tell later??? Wish I could be there but out of town! Love, Donnie”
