She was predeceased by: her spouse Charles F. Bickert; her parents, Albert R. Helming and Eva Steele Helming; and her sisters, Margaret Clifford (William) and Kathryn Helming.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Pfotenhauer (Paul) of St. Charles, IL, Wayne (Debra) of Aurora, CO and Nancy Czernik (Stanley) of Tinley Park, IL.; her grandchildren, Eric Pfotenhauer (Jennifer), Kurt Pfotenhauer (Kristen), Jason Bickert, Jennifer Bickert-Thiel (Colt), Sarah Czernik and Steven Czernik; and her great grandchildren, Katie, Ryan and Nick.
