He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his daughters, Sara Elizabeth of China and Abby Marie of Vietnam; his pet Winston; his sister Mary Ellen (Bob Guercio); his siblings-in-law, Bob Strutz (Lynne), Gary Strutz (Diane), Cindy Pfeifer (Bob), Brad Strutz (Darcy Engelmann), Janice Owens and Randy Strutz (Bret Andersen); his nieces and nephews, Paul, Teri, Danny, Katie, Bobby, Gigi, Ellie, Shaun, Jenny, Michael, Jimmy, Claire, Kevin, Alison, Laura, Todd, Lisa, Mary, Jason, Becca, Jillian, Chad, Patrick, Lindsey, Joe, Steven, Yana, Andrew, Chris, Tim, Jon and Ayana; and his caregiver Gerry. He is also survived by his family, friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home - Orland Park (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 9:15 AM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A Mass was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Church (10731 W 131st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). The Covid years were hard on everyone and Gerry was no exception.
