She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Firth and Nora Firth (Walsh); her husband George Verkinder; her daughter Pamela Heinen; and her son-in-law Robert Molinaro.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jacquelyn (Joe Farrell) of Cheshire, CT, Judith Molinaro of Chicago and Deborah (Jim Albano); and her grandchildren, Lisa Olmstead, Sean Farrell, Bernard Heinen Jr., Anthony Molinaro, Michael Farrell, George Heinen, David Molinaro, Justin Albano and Tatti Albano.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church - Dowagiac (51841 Leach Rd, Dowagiac, MI 49047). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church (51841 Leach Rd, Dowagiac, MI 49047). A burial will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
