Marica Hobar Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marica Hobar (Palos Hills, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 4, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Jovana Martinčić; and her siblings, Ruža Volarić and Josip Martinčić. She is survived by: her aunt Kate; her husband Marko; her daughters, Rosemary and Jeannie Hobar; her grandson Jake; and her nieces and nephews, Silvana, Darko, Ivanka, Lidija and Melody.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (8245 W 111th St, Palos Hills, IL 60465). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in the form of memorial Masses offered in her memory, which would have meant so much to her.
