With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Leonard Rakus of Palos Hills, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Leonard left this world on December 31, 2024 at the age of 63, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his father Jozef Rakus; and his sibling Bozena Kendzior (Krzysztof). He is survived by: his wife Lottie; his stepson Michael McNulty; his mother Jozefa Rakus; his sibling Dorota Rakus; his nieces and nephews, Katarzyna Kendzior and Izabela Sokol (Michal); and also Liwia. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Zarzycki Manor Chapels, Ltd. - Willow Springs (8999 Archer Ave, Willow Springs, IL 60480-1205). A prayer was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patricia Church (9050 S 86th Ave, Hickory Hills, IL 60457). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (7201 Archer Ave, Justice, IL 60458).
