He was predeceased by: his wife Bernadine "Bonnie" Keane; and his siblings, Colette Novitski (late Kenneth), Edward Keane III (late Dorothy), James Keane (late Rose) and Mary Jane Freyer.
He is survived by: his children, John Keane Jr., Therese Webb (Paul) and Kimberly Errant; his grandchildren, Rachelle, Bethany, Rebecca, Kalyn, Alyssa, Brianne, Ryan, Paige, Jenalyn, Madelyn and Evan; his great grandchild Maya; and his sibling Fond. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
