He was predeceased by: his spouse June; his child David J. Cachares; and his sibling Dolores McKee (late Harry). He is survived by: his children, Raymond Cachares, Lou Ann Cachares and George Cachares (Carol); his grandchildren, David (Linnette), Anna, Julia, Ben Cachares and Ruth Barstow; his great grandchildren, Cohen Barstow and David Cachares; and his sibling Fond.
