He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen McGuinness and James McGuinness; and his siblings, Paddy (late Eileen), Hilliard, John (Betty), Gene (late Maureen), Eileen and Mary Antoinette.
He is survived by: his wife Colette; his children, Brian (Kyle), Ellen (Gerry), Jennifer, Linda (Bobby), John (Jenny), Mark and Dan; his grandchildren, Connor, Peyton, Fiona, Savannah, Gerry Jr., Sean, Alexis, Landon, Margot and Torry; and his siblings, Fergus (late Millie), Lorcan (Valerie) and Kathleen (late Tony).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kerry Funeral Home (7020 W 127th St, Palos Heights, IL 60463). A Mass was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Saint Mary Church (19515 115th Ave, Mokena, IL 60448). A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (6001 W 111th St, Alsip, IL 60803).
