He was predeceased by: his wife Michelina "Mickey" Hitchcock; his parents, Marguerite Hitchcock and William J. Hitchcock; and his brother William J. Hitchcock. He is survived by: his children, Donald Hitchcock Jr. (Amy), Marguerite Frigo (Anthony), Diane Mazor (Donald), Michelle Charbonneau (Albert), Doreen Keefer Jr. (Lloyd), Mariann Stanton (Patrick) and Dawn Hannigan (Timothy); and his daughter-in-law Valerie Ryan.

Donations may be made in memory of Don to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
