She was predeceased by: her spouses, Thomas M. Walsh and Peter "Bud" Holland; her stepdaughter Ann; her parents, Joseph Higgins and Catherine Higgins; her siblings, Gloria Dillon (late Jerome) and Joseph; and her cousin Barbara Delahunt (late Phil).

She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo Cureton, Peter Holland (Laura) and Carol Kelly (David); her stepchildren, Elizabeth Stevenson (Bill), Mary Catherine, Sharon Crawford (Bob) and Thomas Jr. (Kathy); her grandchildren, Moira (Joe), Liam, Erin (Charlie), Matthew, Brian (Kaleen), Clare, David and Mark; her stepgrandchildren, William (Whitney), Catherine (Brian), Brian (Karen), Thomas III (Kavita) and Nora; her great grandchildren, Brynn, Keegan and Margot; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Olivia and Parker.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Kerry Funeral Home (7020 W 127th St, Palos Heights, IL 60463). A prayer was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Church (10731 W 131st St, Orland Park, IL 60462).
