She was predeceased by: her parents, William Glen and Clara Esther Best (Bivin); her husband Harold Alson "Shorty" Shipley; her daughter Kathryn Marie "Kathy" Whitehead; her son-in-law Gary Whitehead; her brother Billy; and her siblings-in-law, Martha Best and Loren Qualls.
She is survived by: her sons, David Harold Shipley (Dav Murray) of Springfield, IL and Aaron Jay Shipley (Johnnette) of Carlinville; her siblings, Geraldine Qualls and Mick Best (Cathern) of Palmyra; and her grandchildren, Joe Whitehead (Lori Wells), Angie Whitehead, Jim Whitehead, Austin Shipley, Will Shipley (Emily Smith) of Carlinville and Sandra Copeland (Shawne) of Gillespie. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
