He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Earl "Romey" and Florence McKinney (Wilson); his siblings, Mary Lee (Ronnie Howard) and James; and his former wives, Catherine McKinney and Betty McKinney.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Mae McKinney of Palmer; his children, Gregory Scott McKinney (Kim) of Ohio, Randy Lee McKinney (Cathy) of Missouri, Crystal Powers of New Hampshire and Mary Powers of Waverly; and his brothers, Earl McKinney (Ethel) of Taylorville, Dan McKinney (Lavonna) of Argenta and Larry McKinney (Barb) of Taylorville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
