James Allen Shanks Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Allen Shanks of Palmer, Illinois, born in Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on July 25, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Florence Mae Shanks (Mainwaring); and his grandparents, Grace Shanks, Charles Shanks, Mary Mainwaring and Gilbert Mainwaring.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Shanks of Taylorville; his sons, James Andrew (Stacey Shanks) of Pana, IL and Nathan Patrick Shanks (Torie Brinkoetter) of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, Deacon James, Calum Andrew and Judson Patrick Shanks of Pana, IL; and his siblings, Leslie, B. Jean, Michael, Patrick and Wesley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be announced at a later date to insure everyone's safety from COVID-19.
