She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph H. Nelson-Erickson and Anita Nelson-Erickson (Wilkinson); and her husband Lawrence A. "Larry" Best. She is survived by: her close friend J. L. Martin of Palestine, IL; her son Justin Fournoy (Elizabeth Austin) of Palestine, IL; and her granddaughter Madaly Flournoy of Palestine, IL.
