It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Ellis of Palestine, Illinois, born in Robinson, Illinois, who passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph James "Jack" and Nina Ellis (Goff); and his in-laws, Clark Earnst, Howard and Mary Green.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Earnst; his children, Jeremy Ellis and Megan Ellis; his granddaughter Lucy Ellis; his sister Terri; his brother-in-law Lee Herning; his nieces and nephews, Ben Herning, Kris Herning and Alex Herning; his stepmother-in-law Diane Earnst; and also, Pam, Jim Hill, Lynn, Ray Brower, Harold, Angie Green, Kermit and Rhonda Green.
In his memory, contributions may be made to the "Palestine Grant-In-Aid Fund", and donations may be sent to the funeral home at PO Box 129, Palestine, IL 62451.
