He was predeceased by: his sisters, Krystyna Ziemlo (late Stefan), Janina Jawniak (late Dziunek), Marylka Dudziak (late Mietek) and Barbara Basinski (late Zbyszek); and his cousin Danuta (late Jerzy).
He is survived by: his wife Harriet; his children, Thomas Polak (Mary), Gregory Polak (Christina) and Dorothy Neswold (David); his grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, Sofia, Matthew, Samuel, Jacob and Elizabeth; his sister-in-law Waclawa Szpak (Adam); and his cousins, Zbigniew Lorenc (Connie) and Casimir Lorenc (Theresa). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (185 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A prayer will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church (1201 E Anderson Dr, Palatine, IL 60074). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Adalbert Cemetery - Milwaukee (6800 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
