He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Schwantz and Flora Schwantz; and his wife Carol L. Schwantz. He is survived by: his sons, James Schwantz (Brenda), Michael Schwantz, Timothy Schwantz and Robert Schwantz (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ashlynne Weber (Joe), Austin (Mattie), Madalyn, Evelyn and Leo; and his sisters, Flora Nishikawa, Rosie Keller, Jane Glenn and Nancy Beyer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home (201 N Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
