With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Randall C. McGowan of Palatine, Illinois, who passed away on July 6, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis McGowan and Irene McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Faber; his children, Ryan Faber and Kathryn Potter (Justin); and his grandchildren, Charles Potter and Cameron Faber.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 144 E. Palatine Rd, Palatine, IL 60067.

“I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR OF RANDYS PASSING, I MET HIM AT COLLEGE AND BECAME GOOD FRIENDS. WE SHARED A HOUSE AND BECAME CLOSE FRIENDS. I GOT INVITED TO HIS PARENTS HOUSE AND I REMEMBER HIS DAD MADE THE BEST OLD FASHION I EVER HAD . MY FONDEST MEMORY WAS WHEN WE TOOK TURNS BUYING GROCERIES AND HE BROUGHT 50LBS OF LIVER IT WAS ONLY 19 CENTS A POUND. WE ATE IT FOR A WHOLE MONTH. HE GOT ME TO LIKE LIVER ! HE WAS IN IN MY WEDDING AND I AM SORRY I DIDN'T KEEP IN BETTER TOUCH. WILL MISS HIM.”
