With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Nels Olson of Palatine, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 28, 2021 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Olson and Karolyn Olson; his sister-in-law Donna Olson; his nephew Erik Olson; his fiancée Cindy Buccelli; and his stepmother Sandi Olson.

He is survived by: his son Jeremy Olson; his siblings, Jim Olson (Deb) and Kim Gibson; his former wife Betty Davis-Olson; and his nieces and nephews, Kirsten Pappas (Mike), Kerri Olson and Bradley Young. He is also survived by friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Autism Speaks, 2700 South River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018 or Orphans of the Storm, 2200 Riverwoods Road, Deerfield, IL 60015.
