She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin M. Nixon and Mildred Nixon (Myhrman); her husband William W. Meek; her brothers, Jack M. Nixon and Wayne R. Nixon; her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Nixon and Carolyn Nixon; and her nephew-in-law Edward Poreda.
She is survived by: her sons, David Herndon (Cathy) and Wayne Herndon; her stepson William Meek; her brother Bruce Nixon; her sister-in-law Jeridith Nixon; and her nieces and nephews, Mark Nixon (Lisa Kohl), Ellen Poreda, Lynn Cooney (Michael), Jill Anderson (Daniel), Sharon Myers (James) and Susan McLeod (Bill). She is also survived by children and grandchildren.
