He was predeceased by: his brother Gregory. He is survived by: his wife Janet Duff Childs of Palatine, IL; his children, Meghan Naylor (Kenneth) of Chicago, IL and Sam Childs (Kara) of Chicago; his mother Hedwig Childs; and his sister Hedy Pflug.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network http://www.pancan.org.
