Edward Sims Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Sims of Palatine, Illinois, born in Princeton, Illinois, who passed away on November 19, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sims and Agatha Sims (Taylor); his wife Mary Jo Alpaugh; his siblings, Charles Sims, William Cletus Sims and Elizabeth Downey; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Sims, Thetis Sims, Joe Downey and Donald Houston.

He is survived by: his children, Olivia Sims (Dean Jordan) of Princeton, Nancy Neuhalfen (George) of Malden, Paula Kurt (John) of Riverside, Andrea Bourg (Daniel) of Coralville, Iowa, Emmet Sims (Hazel) of Compton and Wesley Andrew Sims of Mendota, Illinois; his grandchildren, David Neuses (Courtney Barton) of Wyanet, Elizabeth Jordan (Steve) of Dixon, Jenah, Cora, Evelyn Sims of Compton, Allyxis Marie Sims of Princeton, Peter and Isaac Kurt of Riverside, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Natalia, Michael, Kyle Edward Jordan and Aiden Neuses of Wyanet; and his siblings, Fred Sims (Sharon) of St. Charles, Illinois, Jenirose Houston of Tiskilwa, Mary Ann Sims of Loves Park, Clara Janet (Geroge) of The Villages, Cecelia Sims of Princeton and Carol Albrecht (Mark) of Ohio, Illinois. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
