He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Nelson; his parents, Herbert Nelson and Mary Nelson (Nee Straub); and his sibling Ragnar William Nelson (Libby). He is survived by: his children, Dr. Carrie Nelson (Neil Harnen) and Kim Rouse; his grandchildren, Jaimee Thomsen (Jimmy), Jeffrey Nankervis (Jaci Reck), Lee Nankervis (Kristin), Emily Rouse, Wesley Nankervis and Mary Weisheit (Steven); his nieces and nephews, Heather Peterson (Cody) and Chris Nelson; and his brother Neal Kent Nelson (Joanne). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home (201 N Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to either JourneyCare Hospice or Little City.
