He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Nikolai; and his siblings, James Nikolai (late Ariel), Jeanette Nikolai (Harry) and Lenor Hanneman. He is survived by: his parent Anne Nikolai; his spouse Norma C. Nikolai; his children, Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Walter (Bernard), Kevin Nikolai (Mariette) and Jane Prochnow (Tom); his grandchildren, Katie Walter, Wyatt Nikolai, Alex Nikolai, Natalie Stevens (Chris), Tom Prochnow, Jr. (Lauren) and Lauren Prochnow; and his siblings, Lucille Adamus (late Joseph), Richard Nikolai (Marie) and Pat Nikolai (Helen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
