He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine; his parents, John and Fannie (Melissinos); his uncles, Mike Melissinos and Gust; his aunt Mary Stathis; and his son-in-law John Sparks (Francine).

He is survived by: his children, Francine Sparks Keyes (Brett) and John Spores (Billie); his grandchildren, Kathryn Sparks, Michael Sparks (Maureen), Andrew Sparks, Daniel Sparks (Cara), Andrew Spores and Demetra Spores; and his great grandchildren, Maggie Sparks (Michael) and Jayden Sparks (Daniel).
