He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Remus; his son Michael Remus; his siblings, Melvin Remus (Doris), Dorothy Sander (Clarence) and Esther Grape (Ed); and his parents, Fred Remus and Emma Remus.
He is survived by: his children, Leeann Helminski and William Remus (Pam); his grandson Joshua Helminski; and his nieces and nephews, Dennis Sander (Sarah), Kathleen Campbell (Todd), Keith Grape (Anita), Rosemary Keenum, Terry Grape (Neil), Joann Gerdjikian (Gary) and Brian Grape.
