He was predeceased by: his father George. He is survived by: his mother Sabka; his daughter Sylvia (Dave); his wife Gina; his daughter Chrissy (Steve); his granddaughter Cora; his sister Daniela; and his nieces and nephews, Petur and Viviana.

The family encourages those who wish to express sympathy to consider a donation to The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida in order to support Alex's passion for the outdoors and marine life.
