He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Hoffman and Gertrude Hoffman (Buelow); and his sister Sally McGinn. He is survived by: his wife Janice Reed; his children, Sharon Ruhland (Thomas) of Chillicothe, Brooks Hoffman (Nikki) of Cabot, AR, Les Hoffman (Lisa) of Elk Grove, CA, Anne Wolfe (Ed) of Ottawa and Jodie Landers (Michael) of Ottawa; and his brother Richard Hoffman (Karen) of Coralville, IA.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
