We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2021, at the age of 100, Thelma Battles of Ottawa, Illinois, born in Leland, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Seward and Jennie Seward (Engelsen); her husband Robert Battles; her daughters, Patsy Berggren, Barbara and Bonnie; her siblings, Howard, Maynard, Arnold Seward and Helen Schneider; and her granddaughter-in-law Opal Battles.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Battles (Carolyn) of Ottawa and Rick Battles (Patty) of Colchester, IL; her son-in-law Jerry Berggren; and her grandchildren, John Battles, Matt Battles (Nikki), Brittany Hrvatin, Kimberly Pendell (Dustin), Nikki Mealiff (Tim), Lindsay Schwerer (Adam) and Scott Berggren (Amy). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren.
