He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schillings and Geraldine Schillings (Jerome); his brother Steve Schillings; his sisters-in-law, Sue Grieves and Judy Brandow; and his parents-in-law, Rosemary and Lester Grieves.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Grieves; his children, Bridget Wheeler of Marseilles, Scott Schillings, Jr. (Katie Wilhelm) of Ottawa and Jeremy Schillings (Nicole) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Tashina McEmery (Mike), Keith, Zach Schillings, Emma Cheli, Madison and Kylee Rose Schillings; his great grandchildren, Bryer, Remington and Penelope; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Schillings of Tonica, John Grieves and Bob Brandow.
