We are sad to announce that on October 23, 2021, at the age of 64, Robert G. Valdez of Ottawa, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest "Ernie" and Hortencia "Tencha" Valdez (Garza); his daughter Jessica; and his siblings, Beatrice Contreras, Benito, Jimmy, Freddy, David, Ruben and Richard "Ziggy" Valdez.
He is survived by: his significant other Pamela Wright; his children, Jacqlyn Jonassen (Shane) of Ottawa, Bobbi Jo Mayszak (Peter) of Ottawa, Jesse Lofthouse of Ottawa and Cassi Jo Valdez (Michael Russell) of Ottawa; his stepdaughters, Laura McLaughlin (Nicholas) of Tonica and Amy Lenhausen (Matt Schiefelbein) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Darbi Leipold, Gavin, Rainee Jonassen, Jackson and Nora Mayszak; and his siblings, Tommy Valdez (Becky) of Mendota, Rudy Valdez of Ottawa, Elsa Martuzzo (Steve) of Pontiac, Milo and Sadie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
