He was predeceased by: his parents, Torvald Thorson and Mildred B. Thorson (Thompson); his wife Thelma Marie Brue; his son Bruce Thorson; and his son-in-law Joseph Jacobs.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Jacobs of Seatonville, Rosemary Thorson of Ottawa and Paul Thorson (Teresa) of Sugar Grove; his grandchildren, Amanda Pope (Bear) of Glen Ellyn, Brittney Wegener (Justin) of Yorkville, Ellen Jacobs of Seatonville and Jacob Thorson of Ottawa; and his great grandchildren, Tomyris Pope, Henry and Hallie Wegener.
