With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Edward Schiffgens of Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schiffgens and Ann Marie Schiffgens (McCormick); his sister Alice Pitstick; his granddaughter Theresa Tabone; and his son-in-law William Chester Jessen II.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Williams); his children, Denise Jessen Rosencrans (Robert) of Ottawa, Mark Schiffgens (Cindy) of Austin, TX, Mary Tabone (Joseph) of Sycamore, John Schiffgens (Fawn) of Ottawa, Karl Schiffgens (Denise) of Ottawa and Holly McLaughlin Reed (Keith) of Mt. Prospect; his siblings, Evelyn Zabawa (Pete), George Schiffgens and Thomas Schiffgens (Mary); and also, William Jessen III, Thomas Schiffgens, Christopher Tabone, John Schiffgens, Joshua Schiffgens, David McLaughlin, Daniel McLaughlin and Joseph Schiffgens.
