He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Carr and Mariam Carr (Fleming); and his sisters, Bernice Carr (Dubach) and Gladys Carr (Chrest). He is survived by: his wife Judith of Ottawa; his sons, Phil Carr (Nancy) and Curt Carr (Hixie); his grandchildren, Dr. Colby Carr (Kensie), Matthew Carr (Katie), Jordan Carr, Alexis Carr, Yameira Church, Zaire Church and Jibril Church; and his great grandchildren, Leo Carr, Remy Carr and Stella Church. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
