It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal P. Smith of Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobart "Sherman" Simpson and Fannie Simpson (Klepper); her husband Arthur L. Smith, Sr.; her son Jamey Smith; and her siblings, Dudley Simpson and Louise Morelock.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Smith of LaSalle, Art Smith, Jr. of Peru, Shawn Smith of Colorado and Deena Smith of Colorado. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
