She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Calkins and Olive Calkins (Chalus); her husband Everett "Bud" Friestad; her children, Diane Johnson and Randy Friestad; her grandson Justin Johnson; and her brother Chuck Calkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Neff (Rob) of Plano, TX; and her grandchildren, Jason Friestad (Megan), Josh Friestad (Angie), Jenny Peters (Tim), Jeremy Johnson (Gayle), Ashley Cheatham (Mike), Bryan Neff (Catherine), Eric Neff (Brooke) and Thomas Neff (Brooke). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Spina Bifida Association of Northern Texas or the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
