He was predeceased by: his parents, Merwin Hathorn and Minnie Hathorn (Anderson); his former wife Betty Hathorn; and his siblings, Merle Hathorn and Lois Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Hathorn of Ottawa; his daughters, Vicki Bennett (David) of Normal and Lori Brown (Dennis) of LaSalle; his grandchildren, Dava Lamprecht (Nick), Doug Bennett (Kari), Kyle Brown (Amanda) and Kevin Brown (Bekah); his stepgrandson Geoff McGill; and also Wendy Arceo (Victor) of Ottawa. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
