He is survived by: his wife Alice Piatz; his sons, Ladislao Michael Cruz of Ottawa, IL and Steve Cruz (Mandi) of Rochelle, IL; his grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, Joshua, Heidi and Collin; his great grandchild Xander; and his sisters, Maria Larabee (John) of Florida, Iris Davis (Tim) of Florida and Anna L. Cruz of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“My earliest and fondest memories of my dear cousin was when I was about 9 or 10. He would come to our house on Christmas Eve and drop of presents dressed as Santa Claus LOL! He definitely was the life of the party. It was such a shock to hear of his passing. Truly our hearts were broken and saddened with this terrible news. I’m glad the boys were there and he didn’t suffer when he passed. Love you cousin. Rest In Wonderful Peace.”
