He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Severson and Margaret Severson; his wife Patricia Shanley; his daughter Suanne Smith; and his brothers, Roger and Dale Severson.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Severson (Wanda) of Mebane, NC; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Brandie, Lexi and Kris. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mueller Funeral Home - Ottawa (800 1st Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
