He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John F. Mitchell and Helen Mitchell (Schneider); his sisters, Martha (McGinty), Joan (Hall) and Helen (Burke); his wife Mary Lou Mitchell (Miller); and his children, Susan Mitchell (Frank Czekajlo), Julie Johnson (Keith), John R. "Jackie" Mitchell and Charles Mitchell (Diane Stelken).
