He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Bangert and Bretice Bangert (Barber); his daughter Amy Missel (John) of Streator; his siblings, Florian Bangert (Bonnie), Marilyn Carlson (Ernest) and Duane Bangert (Pat); and his parents-in-law, Catherine, Louis Strack, Bill and LouAnn Bernardoni.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Strack; his children, Jeff Bangert (Dianne) of Ottawa, Jenny Goodman (Barrett) of Zionsville, IN and Jerrod Bangert of Streator; his grandchildren, Zachary, Taylor, Isaac, Lauren, Isabel, Nora, Morgan, Anneliese, Cooper and Ruby; his siblings, Rosan Gruetzemacher (Jerry) and Ron Bangert (Phyllis); and his parents-in-law, Marge Strack, Robert Strack (Diane), Joan Novak (Terry), Richard Strack (Diane), Rod Strack (Rhonda), Chuck Piecha, Dan Piecha (Judy), Dean Strack and Deb Tomaszewski (Dennis). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending services are kindly asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
