We are sad to announce that on June 20, 2021, at the age of 95, Helen Kirkman of Ottawa, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Struna and Mary Struna (Zupancic); her husband Gordon Kirkman; and her siblings, Frances Messaglia, Agnes Wrona, Mary Gunia, Betty Tezak, Dorothy Struna, Francis Struna, Henry Struna and Edward Struna.

She is survived by: her sons, Peter Kirkman (Linda) of Ottawa, Gary Kirkman (Martha) of Orland Park and Gordon Jr. Kirkman (Karen) of Aurora; her grandchildren, Thomas Kirkman (Lynda), Bart Kirkman (Jennifer), Blake Kirkman (Kelly), Marissa Kirkman and Jenna Farris (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Drew Kirkman, Dean Kirkman, Jordan Kirkman, Logan Kirkman, Emerson Kirkman, Cole Kirkman, Sydney Kirkman, Callum Farris and Lydia Farris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to St. Francis of Assisi Church or the LaSalle County Nursing Home.
