He was predeceased by: his father Richard Chamberlin. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Chamberlin (Mattison) of Palatine; his wife Mary Tammen-Salsman of Princeton; his daughter Sadie Salsman of Peoria; and his sister Kari Harvey (Chamberlin) of Crystal Lake.

Memorials may be directed to the Illinois Valley House of Prayer in Ottawa, Grace Bible Fellowship in Peru, or the Starved Rock Civil War Roundtable in Ottawa.
