Gregory A. Matteson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2021, at the age of 67, Gregory A. Matteson of Ottawa, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Erling Matteson and Violet Matteson (Peterson); his brother David Matteson; his brother-in-law Stephen Dolder; and his parents-in-law, Orville and Yvonne Thorson.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Thorson; his brother Kenneth Matteson (Ruby) of Morris; his sisters-in-law, Billie Jean Matteson of Ottawa and Sue Dolder of Urbana; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Matteson (Shannon) of Marseilles, Craig Matteson (Kay) of Morris, Lisa Oppenlander (Ed) of Morris, Wendy Briley (Ken) of Minooka, Cheri Matteson of Ottawa and Dr. Linda Dolder-Harris (Marcus) of Urbana.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, private services will be held Thursday morning at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa, with Pastor David Ufkes officiating.
