She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas and Hetty (Wright); her husband Robert O. Engels; and her sisters, Lyla Rayner and Joan Hughes.

She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Baumgartner (Richard) of Naperville; and her grandchildren, Colin (Mary Kate Herion), Sloane and Cale Baumgartner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
