It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denise Velez of Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on July 18, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Jerde and Louise Jerde (Charlier); her brothers, Gary and Jerry Jerde; and her nephew Joshua Hoffman.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Velez; her son Jerry Velez (Shilo); her sister Wendy Hoffman (Gary); her mother-in-law Alice Hermosillo; and her sisters-in-law, Janice Burke (Jeff) and Yvette Baiz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
